Hello! T Times is a free, open source public transit dashboard application serving the greater Boston area.
Its primary purpose is to perform the following sophisticated mathematical procedure:
- the bus arrives in X minutes?
- it's a Y minute walk to the stop?
- leave your house in ≈X-Y minutes
That's only useful if you know which route you want to take, but if you need a trip-planning algorithm to get you to your destination, you'll have to look elsewhere. ☹
T Times is, and always will be, completely free. It doesn't track you, doesn't serve ads, and doesn't try to upsell you with a premium tier.
The source code is freely available under a permissive MIT license. That means you are free to use it however you like, as long as you include the MIT license. If you want to host your own T2 Times: Judgement Day... go for it.
I welcome your contributions! Please get in touch via email or the source code repository if you want to discuss a feature.
T Times is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. If you would like to help ensure it remains publicly available, please consider making a small tax-free donation. ♡
(Note that the fundraising platform, Zeffy, is a non-profit organization that sustains itself by suggesting a default tip of 17%. If you'd prefer not to donate to Zeffy, you can adjust the "Support the 100% free platform we use!" drop-down before completing your donation.)
Shoot me an email at mitchell@ttimes.boston. I appreciate your feedback.
T Times is also on Bluesky! Follow for updates and discussion.
